CURRIER + IVES, AMERICAN FRUIT PIECES
A small Original Currier & Ives lithograph titled American Fruit Pieces. This is Conninghams #160. Still life of fruit including watermelon. The image is 12 7/16 x 8 1/2 inches. Nice wide margins with overall size of 14 x 10 3/8 inches. Very good condition with no tears and bright coloring. There is some discoloring due to the wood backing. There are pages of a 1939 issue of the New York Herald Tribune in the back. Nice walnut frame with gilt liner that measures 16 1/4 x 12 3/4 inches. Ca. 1872-1874.

FRENCH BIRD COLORED ENGRAVING Ca. 1800
A Hand Coloured Engraving of a Sphenocercus Cantillans. Engraved by Paul Louis Oudart in Paris about 1800. Print maker was Lemercier and the Editeur was P. Bertrand. I have shown a couple of images prior to having it professionally cleaned. No tears and now in beautiful condition. There are 2 pinhole size dots under the tail that could not come off. The print is 14 x 21 1/2 inches. Framed it is 20 1/2 x 26 1/2 inches. It has been framed and matted with acid-free linen matting. Beautiful coloration and detail. Frame is new and a gold leaf.
