| A grain painted washstand complete with wash bowl and 3 piece soap dish. We just purchased this out of a GA. estate sale. The stand is smoke grained decorated with brown/ocre colors and signed on the back. Paint is in good condition with expected wear. There is one area of wear on the top left(shown). Dovetailed gallery and drawer(original pull on drawer). Made of pine. Nicely scrolled top to gallery. It has been broken but repaired and is original. It is 37 1/2 inches H., 16 3/4 inches W., 13 1/2 inches D. The bowl is Blue Willow and is marked Shenango China, New Castle Pa., made for L. Barth + Son., New York. The 3 pieces soap is unmarked, same color but different pattern. The lid has been broken but repaired with the old staple repair method. Wonderful size and condition. Bought it as a set and see no reason to break it up. |
